The Challenge

MLB’s legacy platform was a bottleneck. Publishing breaking, real-time stories could take over 10 minutes - severely limiting their ability to compete with fast-moving news outlets and social media for attention.

Speed alone wasn’t enough. The platform needed to operate at massive scale: more than 1,400 editorial contributors across the MLB ecosystem rely on it to publish up to 5,000 unique pieces of content daily.
