Senior Finance Assistant – Sales and AR
Corporate
India
Position
This role supports Deltatre's Sales and Accounts Receivable function across multiple group entities in Europe and the US — preparing client invoices, monitoring collections, and applying the revenue recognition logic that keeps multi-entity reporting accurate. The work runs across multiple currencies, multiple revenue models, and a monthly cycle that has consequences for group reporting.
As Senior Finance Assistant – Sales and AR, you will work closely with both the FP&A team and the Accounting team. You will own client invoicing and AR queries day to day, support credit control activities, and apply revenue accruals and deferred revenue entries that keep recognised revenue aligned with contractual terms.
For this role you must be able to work on a hybrid basis with at least 2 days per week working in the Mumbai office in Andheri.
Responsibilities
Client invoicing and payments
- Prepare client invoices for billable items in accordance with contractual terms
- Submit invoices to clients in a timely manner
- Support the accurate application of payments to client accounts
AR and credit control
- Monitor the AR mailbox, responding to enquiries and resolving queries promptly
- Support the FP&A Cash Analyst with credit control activities — monitoring invoice ageing, issuing payment reminders, conducting follow-up calls, and escalating issues to the Commercial team as needed
Revenue recognition and journals
- Perform revenue accruals in coordination with the FP&A team
- Manage the deferred revenue schedule and record deferred revenue recognition entries, in coordination with the FP&A team
- Maintain and update the fixed fee billing spreadsheet — expected billing dates, revenue recognition, payment terms
- Post ad-hoc journal entries as instructed by the Finance VP (primarily revenue-related, but not exclusively)
Requirements
You treat accuracy as a craft. You notice small inconsistencies before they compound, you communicate clearly across teams and time zones, and you take responsibility for the quality of what you hand off. You understand the cyclical rhythm of AR work — invoicing, application, follow-up, recognition — and you build the small disciplines that keep it running cleanly.
Required
- 5+ years' experience in Finance, with focus on Sales and Accounts Receivable processes
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Excellent written and spoken English (the working language across the group)
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy across all tasks
- Organised and consistent across regular reporting cycles, able to prioritise workload effectively
- Comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
Valued
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite
- Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency finance operations across Europe and the US
- Experience supporting both Accounting and FP&A functions in a group structure
- Familiarity with revenue recognition under contractual variation (subscription, fixed fee, usage-based)
Who Thrives Here
Finance work at Deltatre runs across multiple legal entities in Europe and the US, which means the people who do it well treat accuracy as a craft. You are comfortable working closely with both the Accounting and FP&A teams, you take responsibility for the quality of what you hand off, and you build steady working relationships across time zones — your colleagues sit in Europe and your work has consequences for monthly group reporting.
This is a role for people who find satisfaction in clean reconciliations, who chase the small queries until they are resolved, and who treat AR not as transactional work but as the connection between the contractual relationship with a client and the financial picture of the group.
